"Can you get the big dictionary down for me?" asks Willem.
"What are you going to do with it?"
"Mmm...I might read a little." The dictionary is 2,078 pages long. He might read a little.
"OK," I say.
Willem skips down the hall, waving his arms, singing a dictionary song:
It's a big one,
it's a huge one,
it's a giant one!
I take the dictionary from the shelf and hand it to him.
I am trying not to look too gleeful that Willem wants to read the dictionary for fun, something I've always loved to do. He mistakes my expression for concern that the massive book is too much for him.
"I know how to find what I'm looking for in it," he assures me. "It has those black tabs."
