I just showed this to my friend, Renee who called it "priceless" and said this is just the beginning.

Funny!

Nels is just really mature for his age. Nothing wrong with that.

Tonight Nels said, "What's a honky tonk man?"

Good ?, what did you say?

Well, he had trouble pronouncing it correctly - he was saying "hockey talk man" - so by the time we got him straightened out on the pronunciation, he forgot about the definition.

Just think, it only goes downhill from there!

At least you have boys! I have an almost teenage drama queen daughter who is 5' 6" now! I am so screwed!

As for "honkey tonk man" there is a Dwight Yokham song called that you will especially get a laugh out of now!

Hey Rich-

It was a Johnny Horton song of that name that prompted the question...probably the same song :) It's definitely time to limit the classic country in our house. After hearing "I'm Ready, if You're Willing" from the same album, Willem asked "Mom, what's that song about?" Oy.

Yeah, were listening to the Horton song that Yoakam covered.

By the way, I highly recommend Johnny Horton's Greatest Hits, it's a great album. It's got The Battle of New Orleans, Sink the Bismark, Johnny Reb - all favorites of our boys.
