THAT Wasn't Very Long

About 30 seconds after I published the previous post, the phone rang. It was Shaun telling me he got the job. So much for my attempt at creating a little dramatic tension in all of your lives.

The company is RevQ in Vancouver, WA, and they write revenue collections software for government agencies. Sounds exciting, right? Shaun assures me he will be doing work that interests him and that will develop his skills.

We're not sure about the timeline, but we think we will have at least two weeks from Shaun's last day at Micron on April 25.

So there you have it! One major life question answered. Now if only the house would miraculously sell...

Glad you'll be closer to D&L - but I'm with Hillary in wishing we could see you guys down here a bit more.

Great to hear about the job, congrats, Shaun!

This is encouraging news to share with Mom when I see her in the hospital in a few minutes! Thanks for the good word.

Congratulations...I GUESS. No, I am very happy for you. I got all excited about a librarian position listed in Vancouver, until I realized that they had listed the monthly pay, not the usual library style of listing 2-week's pay. Hmph.

Congrats Gyps, this is great news, and I'm sure such a huge relief! Keeping my fingers crossed about the house selling....

OregonLive has a Multnomah County "central library director", Downtown, Portland at $67k-94k, "deadline extended" - they're waiting for YOU!!!

Craigslist had a couple of library-related ones too. I'm sure you know where to look for Lib jobs, but since I'm done searching for MY new job, I'll now be looking for YOURS! :)

Thanks Shaun :) I know what I'll be doing tonight! I should find out in a few days if my job has been cut or if I get to wait until July to find out.
